Crown Macau - City of Dreams and ActivConsole

AME System in Clayton, Australia, recently won a tender to supply and install 43 of its flagship Premium Operator Consoles for the surveillance centre at City of Dreams, an integrated entertainment resort project in Macau’s Cotai, developed by leading Nasdaq‐ listed entertainment company, Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (ticker “MPEL”) and is set to become the ‘must experience’ destination in Macau, China.

AME System founder Richard Winnicki is an international leader in customized ergonomic design for the workplace. His innovative electric height‐adjustable workstations are used by the world’s leading biotechnology, avionics and electronics companies, and are already in use in the casino surveillance/security rooms at Crown Macau, another casino property developed by MPEL.

AME System was awarded the contract because of the company’s innovative ergonomic solutions for multiple monitoring in surveillance situations. The Premium Operator Consoles to be installed at City of Dreams are electric height‐adjustable for sitting or standing, ergonomically designed around the operator and capable of displaying up to eight surveillance monitors.

Each desk is equipped with four electric actuators (‘legs’) with a lifting capacity of 280kg which respond silently and smoothly at the push of a button as they are positioned for sitting or standing. Research shows that having the flexibility to sit and stand at a workstation has many physical and mental benefits. For Richard Winnicki, the City of Dreams contract success confirms his company’s international leadership in workplace ergonomic innovation. Our ‘lean’ manufacturing philosophy gives us a great ability to  customize quickly and efficiently. We designed the Premium Operator Consoles to ergonomically fit surveillance operators to cope with the rigors of a 24 hour operation,” he said. Richard Winnicki, a mechanical and industrial engineer originally from Poland, established AME System in 1992. The company designs and manufactures a range of leading edge, ergonomic workstation systems, computer desks and accessories. Winnicki is passionate about the role of ergonomics in enhancing the workplace environment for the wellness of the individual as well as increasing productivity. In gambling terms it’s a demonstrable win‐win situation.
